Nicole's Dreamy, Outdoor Bridal Portraits at Windsor Ruins
Now that Nicole and Drew are married(in an epic Kings Day wedding that kicked off Mardi Gras in the BEST possible way), I can finally share her GORGEOUS bridal portraits. We knew we wanted an epic outdoor location that conveyed history, grandeur and a sense of mystery so naturally, Windsor Ruins in Port Gibson, Mississippi was a perfect fit.
The ruins, which consist of 23 standing Corinthian columns of the largest antebellum Greek Revival mansion ever built in the state, are the last remnant of the plantation standing after a fire in 1890 destroyed the home. To say these columns are huge would be an understatement. They are EPIC and even though are fenced off due to their fragile nature, were the perfect backdrop for Nicole's golden lace and lush floral bridal look.
Many say that bridal portraits are outdated, but I love them...especially when the bride trusts my vision and is willing to drive six hours round trip to get the shot. Now THAT is commitment. Bridals don't have to be stuffy, super posed and stiff. Have fun with your hair and makeup, get a gorgeous bouquet made and feel like a freaking goddess.
